Product Description

Fire and Blood

A set of golden coins for some of the major houses of Westeros. These Half-Dragons are struck in brass and feature a unique depiction of the character along with their house's sigil.

Includes:

Daenerys Targaryen Mark of Meereen

Daenerys Targaryen is shown on this Mark as Queen of Meereen, surrounded by her three dragons: Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion. On the reverse is a Meereenese pyramid and broken manacles, symbolizing her freeing of the slaves. She had this coin minted to replace the concept of slaves as currency on the city. The golden Mark is worth about half as much as a Westerosi Dragon, or the equivalent of 105 silver Stags.

Jaehaerys I Targaryen Golden Dragon

Jaehaerys I Targaryen , the Old King, was the fourth Targaryen king to sit the Iron Throne. He was the grandson of Aegon the Conqueror. His reign was long and peaceful.

Aegon I Targaryen Penny

Aegon I Targaryen, The Conqueror, was the first king on The Iron Throne. With the help of his dragons and his sister-wives, he united the Seven Kingdoms under one ruler. This Penny features Aegon and his wives Visenya and Rhaenys with a dragon sigil on the reverse.

Aegon V Targaryen Half-Penny

This coin features Aegon V "Egg" Targaryen with a dragon on the reverse. Aegon was the brother of Maester Aemon and grandfather of Aerys II Targaryen, The Mad King.

The coins in this set from the world of George R. R. Martin are struck from solid brass and copper, measure 1.6 to 3 cm in diameter, and weigh 1.8 to 11 grams. Coin artwork by Greg Franck-Weiby, Ron Landis, Arion the Wanderer and Woody Maringer.

The set contains coins treated to look as if they have been handled and circulated within their world. This process is done by hand, and it is both an art and a science. Coloring and patinas will vary. No two sets are exactly the same! Coins are struck one at a time in the USA using antique machinery and traditional coining techniques. A colorful description is included with history and facts about the coin.
